The 12th edition of AUTHOR bikemarathon Súľovské skaly is drawing nearer. SCK CYKLO TOUR Súľov and the village Súľov – Hradná in cooperation with media and merchandise partners once again prepared for you an attractive programme and lots of valuable prizes. So don’t forget to note the event date: 19.6.2009!
The event is a part of the prestigious iVELO Bikemarathon series 2010 and also the new Valašsko-považskej MTB series 2010. The official patron of the 12th edition is the Chairman of Žilina self-governing region - Ing. Juraj Blanár. We strongly believe that the last year’s “water calamity“ won’t happen again and that we will together break the magical barrier of 1000 participants this year  .
But before you arrive in Súľov, keep an eye on our website where you can find up-to-date information, the new registration system (from 8.4.2010), detailed course description, numerous reports and photographs from previous editions.
We have once again prepared for you a practical cycling related souvenir. As an addition to the cycling jersey from 2008 and the cycling bib shorts from 2009, this time we have come up with arm and leg warmers in matching design. The supplier is again the sportswear producer NYNA. You can once again reorder the cycling jerseys and a limited amount of bib shorts! You can find all information on our products in the Souvenirs section of our web. The closing date for souvenir orders is 1.6.2010.
Each participant can again expect a practical spare tube by AUTHOR. Before the start you can fill your bottles in the stand of TOP TREND Piešťany who will provide the ENERVIT energy drink. The same company will also supply you with 2 ENERVIT GT tablets and a sample of SPORTIQUE cosmetics, namely the protective Century Riding Cream.
We also prepared for you a 2010 memorial shirt. The price of the shirt – 6 € is not included in the registration fee and the participants will pay for it upon the receipt of the shirt at the presentation.
Just like one year ago there will be a separation of the starters on the 50 km course into 2 waves. The first wave will be intended for 300 riders with higher placing ambitions. Please mark you intention to start in the first wave in the remark section of the online registration system by stating your finish result from the last 2-3 years! The time in both waves will be measured individually.
The participants, their supporting crews and the spectators can look forward to an eventful accompanying programme – the trade fair, horse-riding, cycle-skill rides for kids, KOFOLA soft drink and POPPER beer contests. We can already tell you that you can look forward to the performances of the girls sing and dance formation HIP CHICKS. The evening will belong to the musical formation WADDA from Žilina. So don’t hesitate and register yourself…
Attention! The courses lead through protected natural preserve and therefore we ask you to be careful to the nature and its inhabitants. The access to some parts of the course is permitted only during the bike marathon!
